She Said Within Herself

She Said Within Herself

Meditating again on Mark 11:23 this morning, wow!

When Jesus spoke to the fig tree there was no immediate visible evidence that anything had changed - nothing at all!

"And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away."

BUT less than 24 hrs (IN THE MORNING) and the manifestation of the decree that came out of Jesus' mouth - the command of faith - became visible to them!

What am I saying?

That which is invisible will become visible.

So true with many healings, provisions, miracles, and answers to prayer. They begin in the invisible and transition (manifest) to the visible. Think 'seed' here and you will be close to grasping this.

You might be believing and praying and decreeing and speaking the Word and His promises over your situation, yet there is no VISIBLE EVIDENCE that anything is working.

Ah, but faith is the evidence of things not seen. There is a mighty power at work behind the scenes in the invisible.

You might feel tempted to give it all up and go back to being a 'normal' Christian (lol - the 'average' Christian, the one that rarely believes or expects any miraculous intervention or significant answers to prayer, just casually drifting through life with little faith or prayer for anything much at all) - and say, “this FAITH STUFF does not work.”

“But Steve, you do not understand my situation…"

No! Stop with the buts… get those big buts out of the way.

Be above average.

Be a believing believer.

Do not be an unbelieving believer. (If ever there was an oxymoron, then that is it - Mr Unfaithfully Faithful and Ms Doubt-filled Trust will not enter the promised land)

The key is to see that from the very moment Jesus spoke to the fig tree there was divine activity taking place right at the roots, in the hidden realm.

The visible manifestation was not immediate, but the answer was immediate.

The command of faith had already started to work in the unseen realm, beneath the earth, hidden away in the darkness where the roots were.

We may not see with our eyes yet, BUT the visible manifesting of the promise is very soon approaching—"Have faith in God" or "Have the God-kind of faith" — the kind of faith that does not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen.

We all need our "IN THE MORNING" moment with God...

That moment where we pass by our prayers and intercessions and see the visible manifestation of what we are believing for.

Then it dawns on us (like every morning has a dawn, the light breaks in and you see the things once concealed by darkness and time), “The very moment you prayed God was at work, even at the roots.”

Was this not the case with Daniel?

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” (Daniel 10:12)

The NLT says it this way: “Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer.”

From that first day your prayers were heard!

Any evidence? No.

Any manifestation in the natural yet? No.

Was it heard? Absolutely.

Do you see it? No.

Is it coming? Absolutely.

What farmer plants a seed and 7 minutes later walks over to the soil where he just planted it and says, “Fool thing this seed, this farming stuff is not working! I’m going back to be an accountant.”

No, the seed is at work under the earth - all the farmer need do is nurture the seed with water, maybe some fertilizer, and just let the seed be a seed. God will cause it to grow!

It will spring up and then he will enjoy the harvest.

It is the nature of seed to spring forth. It is the nature of prayer and faith to spring forth.

Your harvest is coming and there will be joy in the harvest!

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

Don’t go digging up your seeds with unbelief.

And how does unbelief operate?

It operates out of the heart and manifests in your words, and it repeats this cycle over and over with your words. Faithless words, unbelieving words, doubt-filled words.

Those words you sow again with your mouth; they go into your ears, they drop into your heart, they grow, they spring up again, they come out the mouth again, and repeat the entire process. You are a farmer, the soil is your heart. “The word that was sown in their hearts,” says Jesus. So it is ultimately a heart and mouth issue—instead of 'foot and mouth' disease, we have a heart and mouth disease.

"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks"

So instead of repeating a ‘fear-death’ cycle; that cycle of unbelief—replace it with faith and blessing cycle; the cycle of life. No wonder we need to hide the Word in our hearts so it wells up inside us as faith and not doubt.

Take courage here, for the enemy will oppose this at all costs, the last thing he wants is a believer filled with the promises of God—it decimates his kingdom.

Satan inspired thoughts and words will say, “Yea, hath God said” or “Even this is too hard for God.” - don’t listen to the devil and certainly do not give the devil your tongue. James says that the tongue can be 'set on fire by hell' itself. Paul tells us that "their throat is an open sepulchre (grave)" Your throat (mouth) can be either a darkened tomb or a light-filled temple.

(And as a free side note: Why does the devil so oppose the Baptism in the Holy Ghost, because God finally gets ahold of the human tongue - “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”)

But why the throat?

It is the passageway of words into the world - the birth canal of either faith or fear (doubt). Just as a water canal transports vehicles (boats) from one place to another, so will your mouth transport you from one place to another—either a place filled with peace and promises or a place filled with fear and doubt. The tongue “sets the whole course of one’s life on fire” (NIV) Destiny is in your mouth.

Satan wants hell on earth. How? By controlling the tongue of humanity. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in hell (so to speak).”

God wants Heaven on earth. How? By controlling the tongue of humanity. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

How do we even take the first steps into the Kingdom of God? “That if thou shalt confess with thy MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

Mouth + heart = result (saved)

Confession + belief = result (saved)

The reverse is also true: “That if you deny with your MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and refuse to believe in your HEART that God raised him from the dead, you will be (remain) lost (perishing, destruction).”

Mouth + heart = result (destruction)

Denial + unbelief = result (destruction)

Now you can see the importance of the parable of parables: The Sower Sows the Word in Mark 4!

Devils always wants to steal your seed. “Satan comes immediately to steal the word that was sown,” “the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.” - what I have outlined above is how the actual stealing takes place.

What is the best time to cut down an oak tree? When it is still a seed. The devil knows this very well.

“I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace.”— says God in Isaiah 57:19.

Fruit always comes from a seed. The seed is the Word.

The fruit of the seed will be peace, peace!

Shalom! Shalom! (remember shalom is much deeper and wider than the English 'peace')
Prosperity, prosperity.
Healing, healing.
Life, life.
Abundance, overflow.

“and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.”

In Israel today, when you greet someone or say goodbye, you say, Shalom. You are literally saying, “may you be full of well-being” or, “may health and prosperity and divine favor be upon you.”

Sound familiar? You bet: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." How does a soul prosper?

By feeding on soul food—the Word.
By feeding on solid food—the Word.
By feeding on faith food—the Word.
By feeding on spirit food—the Word.
By feeding on heavenly food—the Word.

Soul food? “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

Solid food? “But strong meat (food) belongs to them that are of full age (mature)…”

Faith food? “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Spirit food? “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

Heavenly food? “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”

God wishes it. Jesus wishes it. Paul wishes it. In fact, they wish it above all things! Thing is, do you wish it? Wish here is WANT - do you want it?

Uncircumcised and unclean lips should be an anathema to the Saint.

In Isaiah's major encounter with the glory and holiness of God what did the burning coal touch? His lips! "Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: and he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged."

The glory of God needs to touch our lips and purge unbelief from our vocabulary. Clean lips will prosper your life and make you a prophetic voice to the nations.

The angel told Daniel, “thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words” and it is almost like the devil says exactly the same thing “I’ve heard your words and I am come to steal, kill and destroy those words”

But not so with God, nor with you my reader…

Repeat that to yourself 30 times if need be: “thy words were heard” FROM DAY ONE. And if you read the very next verse you will find out one reason for the delay was that there was intense spiritual opposition in the heavenlies “the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days”.

Yes - speak and decree in faith, believing.

Yes - expect a miracle harvest.

Yes - God has heard your prayer from the moment it left your lips.

Yes - it will be fought against in the heavenlies.

Sometimes we need to persevere. It is faith and patience that inherit promises.

As I was finishing this I noticed that the angel told Daniel, “Fear not” and that is a major strategy of the enemy - to get you to start fearing.

To fear that the promises of God are not true.
To fear that God is not as good as he says He is.
To fear that this sickness is unto death.
To fear that my provision and prosperity will never come.
To fear that my prayers are not heard and that I am left to my own strength.
To fear that every promise of God is no and never (or at least not this time and not for me)
To fear that my prayers are heard but they are stuck at the bottom of some angel-accountant’s inbox along with the other 30 billion requests that day.

We sometimes need to fight for our harvest—just like a farmer needs to keep the crows from off the field where he has sown precious seed “the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.”

Decree. Believe. Stand. Fear Not. Receive. Rejoice. Repeat.
